Using the Action Center

Action Center combines unresolved work from Catalog Audit, track metadata, rights readiness, audio processing and analysis, AI review, Metadata Optimization, export processing, and system jobs into one prioritized queue. It answers “What should I work on next?” without requiring you to search every module.

The workflow is Prioritize, Resolve, Review, Verify. Action Center reflects source records; it is not a duplicate editor and it does not establish legal clearance.

• Catalog Audit findings and identifier, metadata, duplicate, and rights issues.
• Missing or stalled audio, analysis eligibility, and AI review work.
• Rights gaps, incomplete ownership splits, and readiness issues.
• Pending Metadata Optimization suggestions.
• Export failures and supported processing-job problems.

Cue-sheet work is not currently generated as a dedicated ActionItem category. Use Cue Sheet Intelligence for its validation queue.

1. Open Actions shows OPEN, IN_PROGRESS, and BLOCKED work.
2. High Priority shows CRITICAL and HIGH internal readiness priorities; it is not a statement of legal or commercial risk.
3. Reviews Waiting shows AI review and Metadata Optimization items that require a human decision.
4. Quick Wins shows non-rights actions meeting the implemented thresholds: impact at least 50, effort at most 30, and confidence at least 75.
5. Blocked Tracks counts distinct tracks with a BLOCKED action or a ranked downstream blocker such as export, sync, analysis, or rights-review dependency.

Select a KPI card to filter the queue. The active card is identified visually and for assistive technology.

Blocked Tracks counts distinct tracks whose unresolved actions either have BLOCKED status or a verified ranked dependency. Filter Blocked Tracks, open each source destination, and resolve every blocker shown for the track. A track may remain blocked when one issue is fixed but another export, sync, analysis, or rights dependency remains.

High Priority means CRITICAL or HIGH in CatalogIQOS’s internal readiness model. Review the reason, source module, and affected entity before editing. This label prioritizes operational impact; it does not independently assert legal, financial, or commercial risk.

Reviews Waiting contains AI review and Metadata Optimization work requiring human confirmation. Compare the proposal with audio and trusted source information, then accept or reject it in its source workflow. Deterministic blockers remain separately labeled.

Recommended work is ranked by a transparent weighted score: impact 30%, readiness gain 25%, urgency 20%, confidence 10%, dependency/unblock value 10%, and ease 5%. Ties use priority, verified blocker status, age, and a stable action key. START HERE identifies the highest-ranked unresolved action.

Use the action’s destination rather than editing a derived finding. Metadata opens Track Detail, rights opens the track rights section or Rights Directory, missing audio opens the track’s master-audio workflow, AI suggestions open AI Review or Metadata Optimization, audit findings open the relevant track section, and export failures open Export Center.

Examples include adding an ISRC in Track Detail, associating a master file, completing ownership splits, accepting or rejecting an AI recommendation after review, or correcting an export requirement. Dismissing an ActionItem records a workflow decision; it is not the same as correcting the source issue.

After a source edit, return to the same catalog and select Refresh Action Center. Reconciliation checks source data, updates matching actions, and resolves items whose condition no longer exists. Audit-derived findings may require Run Catalog Audit again. Audio and other background work must reach a terminal state before the next refresh can confirm the result.

An empty queue means no unresolved ActionItems remain, not that the catalog is error-free or legally cleared. Refresh Action Center after source edits, rerun Catalog Audit for audit-derived findings, and review CatalogIQ readiness signals before downstream delivery.

Resolve blockers first, then CRITICAL/HIGH work, reviews requiring a decision, quick wins, and remaining recommendations. Recheck the source after each high-impact change instead of bulk-resolving unresolved facts.

• Confirm the Workspace and Catalog before changing source data.
• Open the precise source destination shown on the action.
• Treat AI output and readiness ranks as review signals, not verified facts.
• Use bulk lifecycle actions only for compatible workflow-state changes.
• Refresh after source changes; rerun Catalog Audit when findings came from an audit.

• Dismissal is mistaken for source-data resolution.
• A running background job is retried before it finishes.
• Filters hide the action being verified.
• A user edits an export or finding instead of the canonical track, rights, or audio record.

• Action does not disappear after a fix: confirm the source saved, background processing finished, then refresh Action Center.
• Action points to the wrong track: verify catalog and track identity; report the action title and track ID to Support.
• Destination is unavailable: confirm role and plan access. Demo Viewer can inspect but cannot mutate.
• Refresh is required: reconciliation has not checked the changed source record yet.
• High-priority count did not change: another CRITICAL/HIGH action may remain, or the source condition still exists.
• Blocked track remains blocked: filter Blocked Tracks and review every blocker for that track.
• AI review remains waiting: complete the accept/reject review and refresh after it persists.
• Quick Wins shows zero: no current action meets all implemented impact, effort, confidence, and non-rights criteria.
• Action returned after resolution: reconciliation detected the source condition again.
• Action disappeared unexpectedly: clear filters and review Action History; source reconciliation or a lifecycle update may have changed its status.
