Maintain the relationship

Arrangement control, territory, verification, registration, and notes are track-specific. Update the canonical Contributor only for reusable identity details such as name and authoritative identifiers.

  1. Review the arranger identity and authoritative identifiers in Rights Directory.
  2. Review each track's arrangement control, territory, evidence, and registration status.
  3. Resolve incomplete or conflicting interests before presenting a rights-chain summary.

Readiness

For a public-domain arrangement, Audit expects an arranger, a control percentage, and territory. User Asserted or Needs Review remains visible as a caution. A complete record supports review but does not guarantee registration, ownership, or clearance.

When several arrangers participate, preserve each relationship rather than collapsing the names into one directory record. Use notes for concise, non-sensitive provenance and use verification states consistently. Arrangement control should not be added to master ownership or written back to the underlying work. If an agreement changes for one track, update only that track relationship. Imports require explicit arrangement columns; review newly created directory parties for duplicates and identifiers. Exports expose the layered facts so recipients can distinguish what is asserted, reviewed, or documented.
